        近几年，我国捣固焦炉发展很快，投产的捣固焦炉已超过400座，焦炭产能在1亿吨左右，但这些焦炉有95％以上是建在独立焦化厂。在独立焦化厂，2006年底5.5m捣固焦炉在云南曲靖建成投产，此后，河北旭阳、河南金马等相继投产；在钢铁企业焦化厂采用捣固炼焦工艺的不多；国内大型联合钢铁企业还没有采用捣固炼焦，国外只有德国有高炉冶炼应用捣固冶金焦的经验。攀钢是国内大型钢铁联合企业中首家建设捣固焦炉的企业，两座5.5m捣固焦炉于2009年建成并投产，捣固焦炭在大型高炉上应用后，能满足高炉生产的要求，高炉综合冶炼强度比用顶装焦炭有明显提高。

1 捣固焦炉与顶装焦炉焦炭质量的分析对比
     为了验证捣固焦炉在攀钢配煤条件下改善冶金焦质量的情况，开展了相同配煤比下200kg小焦炉、半工业顶装炼焦和捣固炼焦试验，同时结合实际生产，比较不同炼焦工艺所得焦炭的质量。
1.1  200kg小焦炉实验
     为了比较不同炼焦工艺条件下焦炭质量的变化情况，开展了相同配煤比200kg小焦炉顶装炼焦和捣固炼焦的试验，其配煤方案、炼焦试验结果见表1～3。

     由表3可知，在相同配煤比的情况下，捣固炼焦较顶装炼焦的焦炭质量有所改善，焦炭的抗碎强度M40提高1.9%～4.7%，耐磨强度M10改善了1.3%～2.2%，焦炭的反应性CRI降低了1.6%～3.6%，反应后强度CSR提高了2.5%～9.5%。
1.2  半工业性试验
     在2. 8m焦炉上进行了相同配煤比顶装炼焦与捣固炼焦的半工业试验，配煤方案、炼焦试验结果见表4、表5,
