According to the development strategic goal of Maosheng Group Corporation: "prominently develop modern coal chemical industry", it is in line with the national industrial structure adjustment and the direction of Shanxi Province's vigorous development of modern coal chemical industry, which fills the gap in Shanxi Province's acetic acid industry, and can further expand to downstream products. Extend the coal chemical product chain. The project uses residual coke oven gas and coking by-product powder coke as raw materials, and develops modern coal chemical industry on the basis of not increasing primary energy consumption, which fully embodies the concept of comprehensive utilization of resources, circular economy, green and low carbon, and has a very high Good example. The chemical energy company has two modern coal chemical production plants: a methanol plant with an annual output of 600,000 tons, and an acetic acid plant with an annual output of 600,000 tons. The main production devices of the factory include: coal-water slurry gasification device, purification device, CO preparation, methanol production device, acetic acid production device, etc.; auxiliary production devices include: water treatment system, substation, boiler, air separation unit, tank farm, truck loading Platform, sewage treatment station, fire station, etc.; the factory covers an area of ​​446200m².

The refined methanol and acetic acid products use the residual coke oven gas and powder coke produced by the coking company's coke oven as raw materials. Coke oven gas is converted, powder coke is subjected to gasification transformation, desulfurization purification and other processes to produce methanol synthesis gas to produce refined methanol; CO is extracted from powder coke gasification gas, and then carbonylation reaction is carried out with methanol and CO to synthesize acetic acid. Methanol synthesis and acetic acid synthesis adopt the patented technology with domestic independent intellectual property rights and the world's advanced production technology, which has the advantages of high product conversion rate, strong selectivity, low production cost, good product quality, few by-products, and low "three wastes" emissions. .

By the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, the chemical energy company will produce 600,000 tons of refined methanol, 600,000 tons of acetic acid products, and by-products such as isobutyl oil, ammonium sulfate, sulfur, and liquid argon, achieving an annual sales income of 4.8 billion yuan.

On the basis of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" development, continue to promote the medium and long-term development plan of the enterprise, and implement the development of fine chemical products, energy products and petroleum substitute products. For example, the development of downstream products of acetic acid, methanol to oil, methanol to olefins and other products will further expand the proportion of modern coal chemical industry in the industrial structure of the group company, extend the coal chemical industry chain, and realize the leap-forward development of Maosheng Group.
